With the goal of encouraging citizens to exercise their Constitutional right to vote, ClassACT has launched a Voting: Our Rights and Responsibilities initiative. This project will combine educating voters, addressing the barriers to voting, and providing information on how to register and then vote in the 2026 midterms on Tuesday, November 3rd.
As part of ClassACT’s Democracy at 250 initiative, we plan to hold a September ClassACT ZOOM Forum focused on efforts to restrict voting and the threats these obstacles pose to our democracy. Topics could include current attempts to eliminate mail in ballots and purge voter rolls as well as the dire possibility of cancelling the midterm elections in November. We also recognize the need to understand the chapters in American history that have brought us to this anxious election season.
