TO THE BALLOT BOX! OUR VOTE, OUR VOICE: RESOURCES

We asked our panelists to provide us with links pertinent to their talks, and additionally gathered material from our audience in the webinar chat. We have organized these materials by topic and provide links to them all here.

HOW TO HELP: COMMUNITY RECOMMENDATIONS

In our post forum salon, we had a few good recommendations from forum attendees - here they are!

  • Democracy Docket and Demcast USA help with knowing what is being voted on across the states AHEAD of time. The easiest way (although it’s not 100% complete) to see how reps voted is with Dems Lab or the Tell Them App
  • A voting resources page that’s based on an attendee’s great grand-uncle who was killed for organizing residents to vote in 1940 Tennessee
  • The Our Together We Vote Coalition in Santa Clara County is focused on registering and educating voters specifically disinvested and marginalized Black and Brown residents. They are nonpartisan. Their leaders come from nonprofits, community based and grassroots organizations. They hold an annual Voter Block Party to celebrate voting. They want to make voting part of the DNA of Santa Clara County. Learn more about them here.
  • Movement Voter Project, which funds grassroots groups around the country, and seeded Black Voters Matter in 2017.
