Have you ever thought about getting an app for your organization? In Building an App for Your Non-Profit,

John Noran '73 will helps you decide whether an app would be useful to you and, if so, give you a step-by-step guide for creating one. If you're interested, you can review the ClassACT HR73 website and also download our app from either the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store (search for “ClassACT HR73”) to get a feel for what an app can do.

Before he retired in 2021, John spent 21 years managing outreach for a federal program that provides discounts to schools and libraries on their internet access. His responsibilities included conducting in- person and online training sessions for program applicants all over the United States and writing a weekly newsletter full of timely information and updates. He developed a particular expertise for translating amorphous programmatic requirements for creating online tools into clear and actionable descriptions for the IT department tasked with building those tools.

Prior to his time in Washington DC, John managed grants and contracts for a state library, provided accounting services for an economic think tank, taught Western music in Taiwan, and was apprenticed to a tracker organ builder, among other assorted occupations.

Below are John Noran's slides from the webinar, covering why and how to launch an app for your organization.
